Jump Scare

Jumping is much more scarier in this tight, jump-precise platformer.
You can only finish a level by bouncing on slimes while avoiding deadly fences!


About

You are playing as Spook the Ghost and is on a quest to traverse the land of the dead solely to reach the Dying Hand of the Living Heaven. By reaching it, you are ascending at a higher level in the realms of the spirits.


Elements

Here are the interests and goals of the player in the game.

There are 2 in total. Challenge yourself on getting them.
Dead Flag
Serves as a checkpoint.

The other things that are spread out and lies around the map are just decorations (or distractions if you seem it's like it).


Controls

  • A or = move left
  • D or = move right
  • Enter or Return key = to advance from title and end screens

Spook cannot walk nor float anywhere. There are no solid platforms to traverse onto, however, Spook can take advantage of the scattered Ectoslimes per level.

The player can traverse the whole area by bouncing via the Ectoslimes.


Tips

  • You can place Spook at the edge of an Ectoslime to gain a much lower bounce output.
  • Bouncing from beneath of an Ectoslime allows much lower bounce output.

All sprites are made via Pocket Platformer's built-in tile editor.

Hello, thanks for trying it out!

Regarding the gameplay, I'm sorry but I can't do anything for the layout as it is intended to be difficult when played.

About the color contrast, thanks for pointing it out. I'll adjust the visuals so that it's a little easier to play with.
